RC Makalla leads Arusha residents in peaceful voting exercise

ARUSHA: THE Arusha Regional Commissioner, CPA Amos Makalla, early this morning, October 29, 2025, led residents of the region in the peaceful voting exercise, fulfilling his civic duty and exercising his constitutional right to elect leaders.
Mr Makalla assured residents that the security situation in the Arusha Region remains calm, urging all eligible voters to turn out in large numbers to exercise their constitutional right to choose leaders who will serve them for the next five years.
Furthermore, the Regional Commissioner noted that the Electoral Commission has put in place an effective voting system, including the establishment of numerous polling stations to ensure that voters do not spend long hours in queues.

“I have already fulfilled my responsibility. Polling stations are open from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. I am pleased with how well-organized the process is — there are no long queues and the stations are many. This means that when a voter arrives at their polling station, they won’t spend much time waiting. Everyone should take this opportunity to go to the station where they registered,” said CPA Makalla.
Overall, the Regional Commissioner encouraged Arusha residents to maintain peace and fully participate in this important democratic exercise.
