RC: Govt committed to friendly business environment

DAR ES SALAAM: THE government remains committed to improving the business and investment environment to create more jobs and contribute to economic growth, the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Mr Albert Chalamila has said.

Mr Chalamila was speaking in Dar es Salaam on Thursday at an event where he met Chinese investors in automobiles.

“We thank President Samia Suluhu Hassan for putting a conducive investment policy and that the government is ready to collaborate with all investors coming to the country since they are creating employment opportunities for the Tanzanians,” he said.

RC Chalamila also urged the investors to implement a succession plan that would cultivate local expertise, reflecting the beneficial outcomes of foreign investments in Tanzania.

“I also want you to serve as ambassadors for timely tax payment to assist the government in implementing development projects throughout the country,” he said.

Speaking at the event, Changan Auto’s Regional Sales Manager Ms Sylvia Agani said the introduction of zero-kilometre cars in the country will help to promote a safer environment for automobile users.

“Zero-kilometre automobiles are safe and environmentally friendly due to the use of advanced technology,” she said.
