PSSSF tasked to intensify education on service provision

DODOMA: ALL institutions under the Prime Minister’s Office have been tasked to ensure they provide education to the public on the work they do, so that people can better understand their responsibilities.

This was said in Dodoma recently by the Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (Labour; Youth, Employment and People with Disability), Engineer Cyprian Luhemeja.

Eng Luhemeja said this during a special meeting to welcome the Director General of the Public Service, Social Security Fund (PSSSF), Mr Abdul-Razaq Badru, following his recent appointment to the post by President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

“All institutions must continue to provide education, especially social security education, this should go strongly to stakeholders. I believe that if social security education is well understood, many people will not waste time on unproductive investments,” said Eng Luhemeja. Eng Luhemeja assured the newly appointed PSSSF DG of the ministry’s maximum cooperation so that he can perform his duties well.

On his part, the new PSSSF DG thanked President Samia for trusting and appointing him to the post. He promised to embrace teamwork so as to deliver best results for the Fund’s prosperity.

“I am truly grateful to be part of this team under the office of the Prime Minister, I promise you maximum cooperation so that together we can carry out our duties well,” said Mr Badru.

Mr Badru said PSSSF will continue to embrace information and communication technology (ICT) to provide better services to its members on time.

“We will continue to provide specific education to members so that they understand more about PSSSF and services provided. We will keep ensuring that every stakeholder is reached,” said Mr Badru.
