Prof Kabudi appoints leaders of the professional boxing commission
DAR ES SALAAM: THE Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi, has appointed new leaders to the Tanzania Professional Boxing Regulatory Commission (TPBRC), following the official end of term for the previous leadership.
As part of the new appointments, renowned broadcaster Patrick Nyembera has been named the new Chairperson of the Commission, which is responsible for overseeing the growth and governance of professional boxing in the country.
Joining Nyembera in the new leadership team are Jacob Mbuya, who has been appointed Vice Chairperson, and Gordon Nsajigwa, who will serve as the Secretary General of the Commission.

In addition, Prof. Kabudi has appointed three new commissioners to support the execution of TPBRC’s duties: Shaffih Dauda, Irene Mwasanga, and Ibrahim Kamwe.
According to Minister Kabudi, these appointments aim to strengthen the performance of TPBRC, enhance the standards of professional boxing in Tanzania, and ensure the sport is managed with transparency, professionalism, and a long-term development perspective.
