President Samia receives PCCB, CAG reports in Dodoma
CHAMWINO, DODOMA: President Samia Suluhu Hassan is at State House in Chamwino, Dodoma this morning ready to receive Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) performance report and Controller and Auditor General (CAG) audit reports for 2022/2023 fiscal year.
- PCCB Director General Salum Hamdun says the anti-corruption watchdog has managed to save a total of 87.59bn/- from development projects.
- PCCB boss admits that women are victims of sexual corruption at working places.
CAG Report 2022/2023
- Reaching June 30, 2023, the government’s debt stood 82.25tr/- equivalent to an increase of 15 percent compared to the previous fiscal year, says CAG Kichere.
- CAG says the debt is still sustainable.
- Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) collected total tax collections of 22.58tr/- in 2022/23, an increase of 8 percent compared to collections of 20.94tr/- in 2021/22.
