President Samia hails Simba’s performance in CAF-CL

DAR ES SALAAM: President Samia Suluhu Hassan cherished Simba performance against Al Ahly despite being knocked out of the CAF Champions League (CAF CL).

The Reds suffered a 3-0 aggregate defeat from the Egyptian side at Cairo International Stadium in Egypt on Friday night.

After the game, President Samia visited her Instagram page to write: “Good match Simba, it was not a night of victory but we have seen hard work which gives us pride and expectations that next season in CAF CL, things will be much better.

“Our pledge is to continue supporting you and provide motivation.”

On the night, the Msimbazi street giants went down 2-0 while in the first leg match at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, they succumbed to a 1-0 upset.
