President Samia axes three, appoints four executives
DAR ES SALAAM: President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed four and sacked three executives.
A statement issued by the Director of Presidential Communications Ms Zuhura Yunus says President Samia has appointed Ally Gugu as the new Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Ally is replacing Kaspar Mmuya who has been appointed as the District Administrative Secretary (DAS) in Dodoma.
Furthermore, the Head of State appointed Eng Mwajuma Waziri as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Water replacing Prof Jamal Katundu whose appointment has been revoked.
Prior to the new position, Eng Mwajuma was the Deputy PS in the same docket.
The President’s list also mentioned Ephraim Mafuru as the new Director General of the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB). He replaces Damas Mfugale whose appointment has been revoked.
Previously, Mr Mafuru was the Executive Director of the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC).
Similarly, President Samia has sacked commissioner of conservation at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) Richard Kiiza.
