Positive Technologies has signed a memorandum of strategic partnership with SGU, an Indonesian technical university, aimed at strengthening cybersecurity expertise in Indonesia.

MOSCOW, Russia: Positive Technologies has signed a memorandum of strategic partnership with SGU, an Indonesian technical university, aimed at strengthening cybersecurity expertise in Indonesia.

The partnership was unveiled during the closing ceremony of the inaugural Positive Hack Camp in Moscow.

The collaboration between Positive Technologies and SGU aims in implementing educational programs designed to increase the number of skilled cybersecurity professionals in Indonesia.

Rector of SGU, Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Samuel P. Kusumocahyo, said that the said that the partnership is important in advancing cybersecurity in the face of rapid digitalization in the world.

“The rapid adoption of digital technologies is outpacing the development of cybersecurity in many parts of the world. We highly appreciate that Positive Technologies is willing to share its experience and knowledge with us. We look forward to seeing high-level professionals emerge in our country,” Kusumocahyo said.

Positive Hack Camp is an international cybersecurity training program was organised by Positive Technologies with support from the Russian Ministry of Digital Development.

Positive Hack Camp brought together 70 cybersecurity specialists from 20 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Brazil, and South Africa, for two weeks of intensive training led by top Russian experts.

The camp, which began in August 2024, is set to become an annual event, reinforcing Positive Technologies’ commitment to global cybersecurity education.

The Director of Customer and Partner Training at Positive Technologies and Head of Positive Education, Yuliya Danchina, highlighted the global demand for cybersecurity expertise.

“The cybersecurity industry worldwide needs strong players capable of training and developing professional talent.

Positive Hack Camp is a vital educational project created to contribute to the development of a global cybersecurity community and the fight against cyberthreats,” stated.

Positive Hack Camp follows other major events organized by Positive Technologies, including the Positive Hack Days (PHDays) a cybersecurity festival and the Standoff Cyberbattle.
These events provide platforms for cybersecurity experts from around the world to exchange ideas, develop their skills, and collaborate on securing global IT infrastructures.

The newly announced partnership with SGU is expected to play a crucial role in fostering the next generation of cybersecurity professionals in Indonesia, contributing to the global effort to combat cyber threats.
