PM begins tour of Morogoro to inspect Kidunda Dam progress

MOROGORO: PRIME Minister Mwigulu Nchemba has begun an official working tour of Morogoro to assess the ongoing construction of the Kidunda Dam and assess the impact of the recent rainfall in Kidete, Godegode, and Gulwe areas today, January 2, 2026.

During the visit, the PM will inspect the progress of the construction of the Kidunda Water Dam, which is expected to have the capacity to produce up to 20 billion liters of water per day.

In addition, the Prime Minister will assess and observe the impact of recent rainfall in the areas of Kidete, Godegode, and Gulwe, with the aim of evaluating the situation on the ground and determining necessary measures to be taken.
