Pemba residents smell fortune in CCM’s Isles campaigns

PEMBA: Residents of Pemba are expecting to see their Island develop to higher levels as the just launched Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) revealed to them during the launch of the General Elections campaigns over the weekend.

Speaking in Pemba r when launching election campaigns in Kiwani Constituency, at Kwareni grounds in Pemba, on Sunday, Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa said the party has always been touching the lives of Tanzanians through development in all sectors, and therefore voting for CCM in the October 2025 elections is a decision to choose progress.

Majaliwa said:”All the development witnessed in Zanzibar today is due to the efforts of CCM in bringing development to its people.

“We are all witnesses, today’s Pemba, today’s Zanzibar is very different from where we came from. The development strides made in these areas are significant and visible, every sector has been impacted. I too am a witness; I inaugurated a health center here, and now I am told it is operational and you are benefiting from it,” he said.

Furthermore, Mr Majaliwa urged Zanzibaris to vote for CCM presidential candidates for both Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, as they have demonstrated the ability to oversee development in their areas.

For his part, the constituency’s candidate, who is also a CCM National Executive Committee member and the Second Vice President of Zanzibar, Hemed Suleiman Abdulla, promised the people of his constituency that he would serve them with utmost integrity, and within five years he would address the challenges facing the area.

Moreover, he said that in his leadership, he would ensure that every youth from the constituency who goes to study anywhere will be closely followed up to support their progress and enable them to benefit from their efforts.
