NMB enhances Tanzania-Comoro relationship

NMB Bank has reiterated its commitment of continuing enhancing Tanzania and Comoros relations

DAR ES SALAAM:NMB Bank has reiterated its commitment of continuing enhancing Tanzania and Comoros relations through bolstering trade volume between the two countries.

Statistics show that the trade volume between Tanzania and Comoros has increased from 6.75 million US dollars in 2001 to 54 million US dollars last year.

NMB’s Head of Marketing, Communications and Corporate Affairs, Rahma Mwapachu, said the bank is providing digital payment solutions and other products to facilitate the smooth flow of business between the two countries.

“The Embassy of Comoros has benefited from our tailor-made solutions including digital visa payments, special institutional accounts and tailor-made financial solutions,” she said during the 49th Comoro’s Independence anniversary organised by the Embassy of Comoros in Tanzania and sponsored by the bank.

Ms Mwapachu said the bank is committed to offering exceptional and innovative business models ensuring value creation and sustainable returns to its customers.

Zanzibar Minister of Tourism and Heritage, Mudrick Ramadhan Soraga during the event said that Tanzania will continue working closely with the Comoros to further and cement close ties for the mutual benefits of the nation.

Tanzania is the Comoros’s main trading partner.
