Mwamnyeto extends his stay at Young Africans
DAR ES SALAAM: Young Africans skipper Bakari Mwamnyeto has extended his stay at the club until 2026.
His contract extension comes amid speculations that he was on the verge to walk away at the Jangwani street-based giants.
He was heavily being linked to join Yanga’s traditional rivals, Simba, but that will no longer materialize as the bond with his incumbent club is renewed.

He is the third player so far who have agreed to stretch their contracts at the reigning Premier League champions.
Others are Farid Mussa who also extended his stay at the club all the way to 2026 meaning that his services are still needed.
Similarly, the team’s first choice shot-stopper Djigui Diarra again doubled his contract for another two years.
Meanwhile, Yanga have only made one signing so far in the name of Clatous Chama who joined the yellow and green army from Simba.
