Mbeki calls on African leaders to observe honesty, integrity,  genuine commitment

DAR ES SALAAM: FORMER President of South Africa Thabo Mbeki has called on African leaders to be truthful, honest, and committed to safeguarding the continent’s interests to achieve economic growth and improve the lives of its people.

Speaking at a dinner event held in Dar es Salaam, Mbeki emphasized that Africa’s development can only be realized if its leaders prioritize the interests of their nations and lead with transparency, integrity, and a genuine commitment to bringing about positive change for their citizens.

Mbeki noted that Africa is richly endowed with resources and has great potential for economic prosperity, but such success requires visionary leadership, accountability, and a focus on the well-being of the people over personal gains.
