Mavunde pledges to build a talent, sports centre in Dodoma

DODOMA: THE Chama Cha Mapinduzi(CCM) parliamentary candidate for Mtumba Constituency, Anthony Mavunde, has pledged to build a talent and sports development center in the Sokoine area, Ipala, as part of his efforts to promote youth empowerment and encourage investment in Ipala Ward.
Speaking during his ongoing campaign in the ward, Mr Mavunde noted that he has decided to grant the long aspiration of the residents to see development and investment projects by committing himself to fulfilling the aspiration through action.
Additionally, he stated that many stakeholders have already come forward and expressed readiness to support the construction of the center’s infrastructure, including a children’s hall, which will be part of the talent center.
He further mentioned some renowned athletes in Tanzania and abroad who have shown interest in supporting the initiative, including Young Africans’ former coaches, Nasreddine Nabi and Miguel Gamondi.

Others are Skudu Makudubela, Aziz Ki, Feisal Salum “Fei Toto,” Aisha Masaka, Waziri Jr, Zidane Boniface Pawasa, Edna Lema, and Dickson Job have shown willingness to support his initiative to develop sports and nurture young talent in the constituency.
Moreover, the Parliamentary candidate assured residents that he will complete the land surveying exercise so that every resident of Ipala, Sokoine, and Mwinyi can easily obtain land ownership titles.
He also said that he will ensure that through a land clinic, the City Land Department office will be relocated to the area to permanently resolve the longstanding land challenges facing residents.
Commenting on the water challenge, he promised to address the issue by drilling boreholes capable of supplying the entire Ipala area, noting that water scarcity will become history once the projects are completed.
