‘Master Rim FC’ labels jersey in tourism promotion
DAR ES SALAAM: As the government continues with its various efforts to promote tourism in the country, a football team known as ‘Master Rim FC’ has decided to collaborate by publicizing tourist sites, especially labeling them in their sports jerseys.
Speaking to the ‘Daily News’ in an exclusive interview, the proprietor, Kassim Ahmed added that his team is currently at the final stage of registration for it to be able to participate in the third division regional league.
He noted that their plan is to promote the country’s national conservations by inscribing the words ‘Serengeti National Park’ at the front of their jerseys and later ‘The Royal Tour’.
He further said the Royal Tour name will be given prominence in mobilizing the campaign that was initiated and launched by President Samia Suluhu Hassan towards promoting tourism in the country.
“But also, our main goal is to search for talents and promote them as well. We are determined to participate in the Premier League and since we have enough budget; our plan is to participate in big tournaments,” he pointed out.
Recalling the team’s previous performance, he said it had managed to play in the Ndondo Cup last season as well as the Ramadhan Cup with success.
Commenting on sponsorship, he said that so far, they have already spoken with various funders who are ready to support them.
