Mali become seventh team to qualify for AFCON 2023 quarterfinals

ABIDJAN, IVORY COAST: Mali are the seventh side to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarterfinals thanks to a 2-1 win over Burkina Faso.

The duo met Tuesday night at Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Ivory Coast where the finals are being held.

However, the game had special attention from many Tanzanians courtesy of two players Djigui Diarra (Mali) and Stephanie Aziz Ki (Ivory Coast) who play in the country’s top flight league.
