Kitangiri councillor stresses unity, pledges to focus on development

THE newly elected Kitangiri Ward Councillor in Ilemela District, Mwanza Region, Mr Donard Ndaro has urged residents to put aside political differences and unite in promoting development within their community.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the `Daily News’ on Monday, the ACT-Wazalendo representative called on the people of Kitangiri to focus on collective progress rather than political divisions.
“It is time for residents of Kitangiri Ward to put an end to political groupings. The election period is over. Let us unite and build our ward together,” Mr Ndaro said.
He expressed gratitude to the residents for the trust they placed in him, noting that their support earned him a resounding 76 per cent victory in the recent election.
Mr Ndaro said he has already received his certificate of election from the Ilemela Municipal Council and is ready to begin serving all residents without discrimination.

He pledged to prioritise the welfare of vulnerable groups, including orphans and children with albinism, by ensuring they have access to school uniforms and educational support.
“I will begin work immediately after being sworn in. My goal is to work closely with the people so that together, we can bring meaningful development to Kitangiri,” he added.
Mr Ndaro previously served as Kitangiri Ward Councillor under the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) in 2020, during which he spearheaded several development initiatives.
Among his notable contributions was the donation of an ambulance that provided free medical transport services to residents of the ward.
