Kili Marathon urges participants to take advantage of discounting period

KILIMANJARO: Organizers of the Kilimanjaro Premium Lager International Marathon 2025 have reminded participants that they have less than a month to enjoy the early discounting period where they will pay less if they register before December 12, 2024.

A statement issued by the organizers said the early bird window is still open and participants should use this opportunity to register in plenty to avoid last minute rush and enjoy the discount.

“The early bird period started on 21st October till midnight on the 12th December after which entry fees increase in all categories and all nationalities from the 13th December until midnight on the 3th February 2025 or until they are sold out – whichever is earliest as there is limited space. Entries are guaranteed on a first come, first serve basis, said the statement in part.

The organizers said that participants can register through Tigopesa by dialing *150*01#, then press 5 LKS, then press 5 (Ticket) and follow instructions to finalize registration or through the official website www.kilimanjaromarathon.com. “This is applicable for all race categories including the Kilimanjaro Premium Lager 42 KM (Full Marathon), 21 km Tigo Kili half marathon) and the 5Km Fun Run,” said the organisers.

The organizers further stated that registration has to close before February 23 2025 when the 23rd edition will be held at the Moshi Cooperative University to ensure the event sticks within the Official IAAF regulations of a safe carrying capacity.

This will according to the organizers, ensure runners enjoy their time out on route without being overcrowded to ensure all logistics in terms of the hydration and medical support needed on route and at the finish in line with the numbers expected are all taken care of.

Kilimanjaro Premium Lager is the main sponsor of the marathon and has held that position since the inception of the marathon 23 years ago.

Other sponsors for next year’s event include Tigo (21km). Supporting sponsors – Simba Cement, Kilimanjaro Water, TotalEnergies, CRDB Bank and TPC Sugar Ltd. Official suppliers –GardaWorld Security, CMC Automobiles, Sal Salinero Hotel and suppliers – Kibo Palace Hotel and Keys Hotel. Next year’s race will be on Sunday February 23, 2023 at the Moshi Cooperatives University and will play host to a IAAF route measured 42km Marathon, a 21km Half Marathon and a 5km Fun run.

The event is organized by Kilimanjaro Marathon Company Limited and locally coordinated by Executive Solutions limited.
