JKT, Simba Queens battle for Women League leadership

DAR ES SALAAM: A BATTLE of leadership is in the offing between JKT Queens and Simba Queens, both of whom will be facing Yanga Princess and Bunda Queens respectively in the women’s premier league today.

JKT Queens will face Yanga Princess at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam as Simba Queens will lock horns with Bunda Queens at Karume Stadium in Musoma.

JKT Queens and Simba Queens sit on top of the league with 12 points each but the former lead with superior goal average.

These two teams (JKT Queens and Simba Queens) have won all their matches. The remaining eight teams in the league have already suffered defeats.

JKT Queens accumulated their points with wins against Alliance Girls, Amani Queens, Geita Gold Queens and Bunda Queens.

In all four games played they have scored 20 goals and have not conceded a single goal, making an average of five goals per game. JKT Queens recorded a hefty 10-0 win against Amani Queens early this month.

Simba Queens on their side have accumulated 15 goals, making an average of 3.75 goals per games. They have conceded five goals making the chances of conceding goals 1.25 per game.

In four games, Simba Queens collected wins from Amani Queens, Yanga Princess, Baobab Queens and Ceasiaa Queens.

Other matches to be played today involve Ceasiaa Queens playing against Amani Queens at Samora Stadium.

Geita Gold Queens will face Fountain Gate Princess at Nyankumbu Stadium in Geita.

Alliance Girls play against Baobab Queens at Nyamagana Stadium in Mwanza.
