It’s Simba vs Azam in ASFC semifinals as Reds maul Ihefu

Simba SC will face Azam in the semifinals of Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC) after mauling Ihefu 5-1.

The duo met at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam on Friday evening in a quarter-final match.

Simba net-burster Jean Baleke sealed a hat-trick in the first half netting in the 2nd, 15th and 28th minute respectively before Saido Ntibazonkiza made it 4 nil in 11 minutes later.

However, as the two teams went for a tactical break, Ihefu registered no shot on target while Simba cherished five shots on goal.

In the second stanza, Ihefu pulled one back courtesy of Raphael Daudi’s 61st minute header connecting well Never Tegere’s delivery.

Simba goalie Aishi Manula was withdrawn in the 75th minute after picking an injury, replaced by Beno Kakolanya.

In the stoppage time, Clatous Chama finished the deal when he pumped in a fifth goal for the Reds.

However, on April 10th, Ihefu host Simba at Southern Highlands Estate in Mbarali, Mbeya for a Premier League encounter.
