It’s all calm in Simiyu as thousands vote peacefully

BARIADI: THE voting exercise has commenced at various polling stations in Bariadi town, Simiyu Region, with a large turnout of citizens arriving early in the morning to cast their votes and fulfill their constitutional duty.
According to the procedures set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), voters’ names have been arranged alphabetically, while the establishment of multiple polling stations has helped to facilitate a smoother voting process across the country.
Some voters, including Ernest Mapinda, commended the government for providing a safe and friendly environment that enables citizens to exercise their democratic rights without disturbance.

Speaking to journalists, the Election Supervisor for Bariadi Urban Constituency, Oswald Rwezahula, said that the constituency has a total of 327 polling stations and 123,332 registered voters.
Meanwhile, the Election Supervisor for Bariadi Rural Constituency, Beatrice Gwamagobe, stated that the constituency has 493 polling stations and a total of 195,049 registered voters.
The voting process continues peacefully, with relevant authorities closely monitoring the progress of this important national exercise.
