DODOMA: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Camillus Wambura has announced minor leadership changes within the Traffic Police Unit.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ramadhani Ng’anzi, formerly the Commander of the Traffic Police Unit in Tanzania, has been reassigned to the Police Headquarters in Dodoma. He will now serve as the Head of the Social Ethics Crimes Unit. Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) William Mkonda, who previously headed the Traffic Police for the Dar es Salaam Special Zone, will take over as the new Commander of the Traffic Police Unit.
In another change, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Boniphace Mbao, who served as the Head of Traffic Police for Dodoma Region, has been transferred to Dar es Salaam, where he will assume the role of Head of Traffic Police for the Dar es Salaam Special Zone.
Additionally, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Michael Deleli, the former Head of Public Education at the Traffic Police Unit, has been reassigned to the Police Headquarters in Dodoma. He will now serve as the Acting Head of National Celebrations.

These leadership changes reflect the IGP’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the operations and effectiveness of the Traffic Police Unit.
