Former IGP Mwema appointed to chair TSN board

DODOMA: President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Said Mwema as the Chairman of the Board of Tanzania Standard Newspapers (TSN) Limited.

The ex-IGP Mwema succeeds Mr Hab Mkwizu, whose tenure has expired.

Tanzania Standard (Newspapers) Limited (TSN) is a government-owned company that publishes Tanzania’s leading newspapers, including Daily News, Sunday News, HabariLEO, and SpotiLEO.

TSN also distributes digital news content through social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Director of Presidential Communications, Sharifa Nyanga, it was also announced that President Samia appointed Prof. David Mwakyusa as the Chancellor of Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS).

Furthermore, the President named Engineer Mussa Natty as the Chairman of the Roads Fund Board (RFB), replacing Joseph Haule, whose term has ended.
