Form a team to fast-track TSN’s printing project, Nape orders PS

DAR ES SALAAM: Minister for Information, Communication and Information Technology, Mr Nape Nnauye has instructed Permanent Secretary at his docket, Mohammed Khamis Abdulla to form a team of experts which will work closely with the Tanzania Standard Newspapers Company (TSN) management in order to fast track the the execution of a 30bn/- construction project of a modern printing factory.

The project is being implemented at the TSN’s headquarters located along Nelson Mandela Road in Dar es Salaam.

Nape issued the directive on Thursday when he paid a visit to the company’s offices where he inspected the ongoing state-of-the-art project.

He said the team will be fully responsible for overseeing and monitoring the progress of the construction while giving a weekly report to him.

The minister further said that the government’s intention is to ensure that the construction is completed before June.

The construction of the modern printing factory began in June last year and was scheduled to be completed in December 2023.

However, the minister disclosed that President Samia Suluhu Hassan was impressed by the company in execution of its daily business operation.
