FNS is preparing to host an exclusive Aircraft Hangar Visit at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) in Dar es Salaam on September 26th reserved for young Tanzanians aged between 5 to 21 years old.

“This mentorship program is very important because we aim to expose young people to many opportunities that are available in the aviation sector both within and outside the country.

“The attendees will experience many things on the day like exposure to Aircraft Maintenance and Operations thereby allowing students to observe first-hand how aircraft are serviced and maintained,” he says.

He adds: “They will also have full understanding of Hangar procedures and safety standards which include learning about professional safety protocols and operational procedures in a real Hangar environment.

“Also, the visit act like a career inspiration for the youths since they get a chance to interact with aviation professionals and exploring potential career paths,” says Mr Meena who is also a Tanzanian Private Pilot.

Queried on what qualities a person should posses before joining the aviation industry, he says passion is the most important ingredient before acquiring demanded academic qualifications.
