Dar es Salaam: In a bid to enhance digital technologies in the education sector, Exim Bank has introduced ‘Exim Smart Shule’ platform dubbed ‘Shule Kidijitali’, a payment solution facilitating direct school fee payments by parents, guardians, or students.
Utilizing a system-generated control number, payments can be made conveniently through Exim Bank branches, Exim Wakala, and mobile phone networks.
This initiative aims to streamline fee payment processes, promoting efficiency and accessibility in school fee transactions.
“This platform, ‘Exim Smart Shule’, demonstrates our commitment to being innovative in promoting digital financial inclusion and staying connected to our customers.
“A parent or guardian will just request for a special control number from the school to easily and securely make payments,” says Eugen Massawe, Group Head – Branch Operations at Exim Bank.
Through Smart Shule, parents and guardians will have access to student performance reports, the school’s annual calendar, and a tracking system for student transportation.
Additionally, students will benefit from a library filled with learning materials designed to enhance their academic performance.
“Through this platform, Exim bank helps the onboarded schools to reconcile with parents on the payments made by corresponding control numbers with their accounts. This reduces the administrative burden on school staff and ensures accurate record-keeping.” Elizabeth Mayengoh, Zonal Manager at Exim Bank.
‘Exim Smart Shule’ solution marks a significant step towards digitizing school fee payments, offering convenience, efficiency, and security for parents, guardians, students, and educational institutions.
This innovative platform reflects Exim Bank’s commitment to digital financial inclusion and streamlining processes in the education sector.
