Dr Samia pledges to end land disputes in Geita

GEITA: THE Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) presidential candidate, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has assured residents of Geita that she will take firm measures to end the persistent land disputes affecting the area.

Speaking today, October 13, 2025, while presenting CCM’s policies at a campaign rally held in Nyawilimilwa Ward, Geita Region, Dr. Samia stated that her government would prioritize resolving land conflicts by dispatching a special task force to investigate the disputes and recommend effective solutions.

She further promised that residents affected by the disputes would be issued land ownership titles, a move intended to permanently eliminate such conflicts.

Regarding the mining sector, Dr. Samia said her administration will continue to improve the operating environment, especially for small-scale miners, by ensuring they are granted proper licenses and provided with modern mining equipment.

She noted that government efforts have significantly boosted the growth of the mining sector, with small-scale miners now contributing 40percent of the sector’s total revenue highlighting their vital role in the national economy.

Overall, Dr. Samia reiterated CCM’s commitment to delivering meaningful development to Tanzanians through the resolution of land issues and strategic investment in key sectors such as mining.
