DCB keen to promote domestic tourism
DAR ES SALAAM: DCB Commercial Bank has expressed its commitment to supporting government efforts to boost domestic tourism and enhance the sector’s contribution to the economy.
The DCB Chief Executive Officer, Mr Sabasaba Moshingi, expressed the commitment over the weekend after the bank sponsored more than 1000 teachers’ trip from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park using electric Standard Gauge Railyway train.

The experience will help teachers to teach their students about the tourism attractions they witnessed.
The bank’s Business Director, Mr Ramadhan Mganga said that to facilitate the trip, they hired 30 buses to transport the teachers from Morogoro to Mikumi, also recognising the teachers’ contributions to the bank’s development.
Earlier, speaking at the event, Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Mr Albert Chalamila said that his office would continue to organise trips for other groups as part of a long-term strategy to promote the electric train.
“This tour will not only enhance the teachers’ knowledge through the Mikumi visit but also boost the ongoing Royal Tour campaign,” he said.
