Daudi leads by seven at Lina PG Tour Pro-Am

DAR ES SALAAM: AMATEUR standout Isiaka Daudi continued his run at the Lina Professional Golfers (PG) Tour Pro-Am 2025, taking control of the leader board after Round 2 at Morogoro Gymkhana Club over the weekend.

Representing TPDF Lugalo Golf Club in Dar es Salaam, Daudi fired a 4-under-par 68 on Friday, bringing his 36-hole total to 7-under-par (-7) and opening up a seven-stroke lead over his nearest competitor.

Showing consistency over the opening rounds, Daudi has become the player to beat heading into the final 36 holes of the 72- hole tournament. His short game and putting have drawn praise f r o m spectators and competitors, making him a favourite among the local golfing community.

Fellow amateur Enosh Wanyeche remains within reach, sitting in solo second after an even-par round on Friday. His bogey-free scorecard showed sharp decision-making and focus, indicating he’s still in contention. Among the professionals, topranked Elisante Lembris struggled, posting a +4 in Round 2, though he still leads the pro category.

Overnight co-leader Fadhil Nkya, chasing a fourth title this season, slipped with a 6-overpar round, dropping to +7 overall and now tied for second among the professionals. Missed chances, especially on the browns, proved costly. The professional leader board remains tight. Hassan Kadio carded a +2, moving to +10 overall.

Thursday’s joint leader Isaac Wanyeche dropped with a +10 round now tied at +11 with Salum Dilunga. Angel Eaton, Tanzania’s only female professional, continues to push forward.

Despite a +7, she sits at +12 alongside Abdallah Yusuph. Pre-tournament picks Nuru Mollel and Rajab Iddi round out the top 10 at +13 as the four-day tournament moves into its final stretch.
