Daniel Chongolo pops up as Samia appoints, transfers various officials

DAR ES SALAAM: President Samia Suluhu Hassan has initiated a minor reshuffle in the government by appointing and transferring various officials to enhance performance in public offices and services delivery to wananchi.

In the reshuffle, former Secretary General of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Daniel Chongolo, has been appointed as the new Songwe Regional Commissioner.

A statement issued by the Director of Presidential Communications, Ms. Zuhura Yunus, early Saturday, indicates that the Head of State has also appointed the former Tandahimba District Commissioner, Lieutenant Patrick Sawala, as the new Mtwara Regional Commissioner, and Paul Chacha as the new Tabora Regional Commissioner.
