Crystal Symphony docks at Dar Port with 516 tourists

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Dar es Salaam Port has received the luxury cruise ship The Crystal Symphony, carrying a total of 516 tourists who arrived in the country to visit various tourist attractions across Tanzania.

Speaking shortly after the ship docked at the port, the ship’s agent, Gilbert Nikata, said The Crystal Symphony is a luxury vessel measuring 238 meters in length with a draft of 8 meters, and that it arrived from Mozambique.

Nikata explained that the ship will remain at the Dar es Salaam Port for one day before continuing its voyage to Zanzibar, where the tourists will proceed with visits to historical sites and other tourist attractions.

He also commended the Tanzanian government, through the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA), for the major improvements made at the Dar es Salaam Port and the high quality of services provided, noting that these upgrades are expected to encourage the arrival of many more cruise ships in the future.
