DAR ES SALAAM: THE Turkish construction company Yapi Merkezi, a main contractor for the execution of Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) has made a heartwarming contribution worth 31m/- to Mama Mwana Orphanage in Vingunguti, Dar es Salaam.
The donation aims at providing essential support to the children residing at the orphanage during the upcoming Eid festivities.
In a spirit of compassion and solidarity, Yapi Merkezi’s generous donation encompasses a wide range of items including food supplies, hygiene products, a much-needed freezer, and Eid clothes tailored to bring joy to the children during this special occasion.
Ms Amisa Juma, Head of Public Relations at Yapi Merkezi, expressed her profound gratitude for the opportunity to support Mama Mwana Orphanage and its noble cause.

The donation ceremony, marked by warmth and gratitude, was attended by Mama Mwana Orphan Centre and representatives from Yapi Merkezi Management and Staff led by Mr Levent Doruck, as the Chief Finance officer for Yapi Merkezi, who conveyed the company’s sincere commitment to supporting the orphanage’s ongoing efforts to provide a nurturing environment for its children.
