Comoros lauds Tanzanian medical team’s services in the Isles

MORONI: THE management of Bambao Hospital in the Comoros capital, Moroni, has expressed gratitude to the Tanzanian government for its contribution towards improving health services in the Isles.

The appreciation was revealed to the Tanzanian envoy to Comoros, Saidi Yakubu, who visited Bambao Hospital to review the progress of the Medical Camp being conducted in collaboration with specialist doctors from Tanzania and their counterparts in Comoros.

During the visit, Ambassador Yakubu was welcomed by health officials from the island and toured various hospital wards, where he interacted with patients and healthcare workers on duty.

Speaking after the visit, Ambassador Yakubu stated that the historic cooperation between Tanzania and Comoros continues to strengthen health services for the citizens of both countries. He emphasized that Tanzanian doctors are providing quality services to the people of Comoros as part of efforts to build better health for the community.

“This Medical Camp is proof of genuine friendship and a shared commitment to improving the welfare of our people through the health sector,” said Ambassador Yakubu.

The Bambao Medical Camp offers a variety of services, including surgery, non-communicable disease diagnosis, maternal and child health services, as well as community education on prevention and treatment.

On their part, the management of Bambao Hospital expressed gratitude to the Government of Tanzania and Ambassador Yakubu for their contribution towards improving health services in the Comoros.

This Medical Camp is part of the implementation of health sector cooperation between Tanzania and Comoros, under the leadership of the President of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, and the President of Comoros, Colonel Azali Assoumani.
