Coca-Cola kicks off celebration of Tanzania’s rich and diverse culinary heritage with Bakhresa Kitaa Fest in Dar
DAR ES SALAAM: The Coca-Cola Food Fest kicked off on Saturday, offering residents of Ubungo in Dar es Salaam a taste of Tanzania’s rich culinary heritage during the Bakhresa Kitaa Fest.
The Bakhresa Kitaa Fest brought together food lovers, celebrities, and influential chefs for interactive cooking demonstrations showcasing innovative recipes.
Top local vendors from Manzese, Mawasiliano Stand, Kimara Mwisho, Malamba Mawili and Kibamba competed in a traditional food preparation contest, with winners being awarded for their culinary excellence.
“We are thrilled to introduce the Coca-Cola Mini-Food Festival to the people of Manzese/Bakhresa.

The festival also featured live music performances and entertainment, creating an engaging atmosphere for attendees.
Next up, residents of Kinondoni will experience the Coca-Cola Food Fest, with local vendors at Mwinjuma CCM, Msasani, Tegeta Nyuki, Boko, and Goba competing to showcase their culinary skills. The top vendors will advance to the Kawe Kitaa Fest next Saturday.
Following Dar es Salaam, mini food festivals will also be held across other key cities, including Mwanza, Arusha/Moshi, Mbeya, Morogoro, and Dodoma, as well as various universities.
