Chalamila: Resources must serve all citizens effectively

DAR ES SALAAM: DAR ES SALAAM Regional Commissioner Albert Chalamila has told District Commissioners to ensure government investments deliver tangible results in improving services and promoting transparency.
He said that during a hand over of two Toyota Land Cruisers, each worth about 250m/-, to the District Commissioners of Ubungo and Kigamboni at a brief ceremony held at Kinondoni District offices.
Mr Chalamila stressed that the vehicles were not meant for prestige but as tools to enhance government responsiveness and address challenges facing citizens.
“These vehicles must be put into productive use. They are meant to enable leaders to serve people effectively and provide solutions where challenges exist. Government resources should always be used responsibly and with accountability,” he said.

Ubungo District Commissioner Albert Msando expressed gratitude, noting that the vehicle would ease mobility and operational challenges in his district.
“With this support, we are committed to working harder to meet the expectations of the people,” he said.
The Kigamboni District Commissioner, Mikaya Dalmia, also pledged to use the new vehicle effectively, saying it would improve service delivery in the rapidly growing district.
The handover marks another government effort to strengthen local administration and enhance efficiency across Dar es Salaam’s districts.
