Celebrating excellence: Ardhi University pushes for job market readiness

DAR ES SALAAM: To meet the demands of the evolving job market, rapid technological advancements, with a fast-changing global economy, there is an urgent need for innovation and productivity to drive economic growth and empower the nation.

This was the key message delivered by Prof. Evaristo Joseph, Vice Chancellor of Ardhi University, during a ceremony held on Tuesday in Dar es Salaam to honor students who excelled academically between 2022- 2024.

Prof. Evaristo highlighted that the awards aim to motivate students and inspire innovation, enabling them to adapt to job market needs while also improving the quality of education.

He noted that research indicates 60 percent of Ardhi University graduates secure employment in the private sector, 30 percent are employed in government institutions, and 5 percent find jobs abroad.

“These figures success reflects the quality of education we provide, equipping our graduates to succeed both locally and globally” he noted.

The awards were presented to outstanding students including, Prisca Emanuel, Sophia Faiza, and Mringo Ramadhani, who excelled in their academic pursuit.

The recipient expressed their gratitude and credited to their success to teamwork, determination and support from their peers, despite challenges such as limited internet access.

“This award encourages us to aim higher and overcome the challenges we face. It is a testament to what teamwork and determination can achieve,” one of the students remarked.

The ceremony underscored the university’s commitment to equipping its students with skills that meet the demands of a competitive global workforce.
