TANZANIA: Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) National Executive Committee has appointed Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi as the new party’s Secretary General.
Dr Nchimbi’s appointment was reached by the committee’s meeting chaired by its head, President Samia Suluhu Hassan, in Zanzibar earlier, today.
Dr Nchimbi, a former Songea Town Constituency Member of Parliament and Minister for Home Affairs, replaces Mr Daniel Chongolo who resigned on the 30th of November 2023.
Equally, Dr Nchimbi also served as Tanzania’s Ambassador to Egypt.
