CAF WOMEN’S CL QUALIFIERS; Simba Queens, Kenya Police Bullets face off in semis

ADDIS ABABA: SIMBA Queens will face Kenya Police Bullets in the semi-finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA qualifiers 2024 on Monday.

Simba Queens secured their semi-final spot with a dominant performance in Group B, winning two matches and drawing one.

In their final group match, Simba Queens maintained an unbeaten record with a 2-2 draw against Burundian side PVP Buyenzi.

Rukiya Bizimana gave PVP Buyenzi an early lead, but Jentrix Shikangwa Milimu equalised.

Vivian Carazone put Simba Queens ahead, but Daniela Ngoyi’s own goal levelled the score.

Earlier, Simba Queens defeated Kawempe Muslim Ladies 3-0 and FAD Djibouti 5-0.

In another Group B match, Kawempe Muslim Ladies triumphed 10-0 over FAD Djibouti, with Hadija Nandaho scoring five goals.

This victory propelled Kawempe Muslim Ladies into the semi-finals, where they will face Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.

The semi-finals begin Monday at the Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
