CAF bans Tanzania’s national soccer team coach
…..As Hemed Morocco takes over
ABIJAN, IVORY COAST: The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has imposed an eight-match ban on Taifa Stars coach Adel Amrouche.
According to the information supplied by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) on its X (formerly Twitter) account Friday, the suspension was made yesterday by CAF Disciplinary Committee.
It says the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (RMFF) lodged complaint about the remarks by the coach who claimed that Morocco has influence in the decision made by CAF in terms of setting matches and referees.
“In another development, the TFF administrative committee has appointment Hemed Morocco as Taifa Stars interim coach and will be assisted by Juma Mgunda,” reads part of the statement.
However, Amrouche’s dismissal comes just one day before Stars face Zambia in their second Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) group F match to be played on Sunday.
