BANK of Africa Tanzania (BOA) has said the 2024/25 budget is pro-business growth and is in line with the country’s economic development.
BOA Managing Director Esther Maruma who led a BOA delegation of senior officers to attend a budget session in Parliament recently said the proposed 2024/25 budget aimed at promoting the country’s economy.
“The government is implementing budget and financial policies that aim at enabling the private sector and corporate companies, whose economic measures were geared towards boosting economic growth and creating a friendly and enabling environment for the business community, curbing inflation and increasing the scope of the tax collection base,” she said.
She said as was the case around the globe in recent years, many countries experienced economic meltdowns due to various global challenges, including Covid-19 and the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Additionally, BOA continued commanding a good capital position and carrying out its activities to legal requirements.
During her stay in Dodoma, Ms Maruma met with Dodoma Regional Commissioner Rosemary Senyamule and shared BOA’s strategies and how the lender planned to cooperate with the government in fostering the country’s socioeconomic development.
