BMH extends clinics to weekends
DODOMA: THE Benjamin Mkapa Hospital (BMH) has extended its clinics for outpatients to weekends to give flexibility to people with hectic schedules on weekdays to pick the ideal timings to suit their timetable.
Unlike the Hospital’s Emergency Department which is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, other clinics were open on weekdays.
Hospital’s Head of the Communication and Public Relations, Mr Jeremiah Mbwambo, said here yesterday that the clinics for weekends would be open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, saying the new programme would commence this weekend.
“Patients with hectic schedules on weekdays can make use of this new programme to suit their busy schedule,” he said.
Mr Mbwambo pointed out the clinics which would start to be open this weekend as Paediatrics, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urology and Dental for special cases.
“Main goal for introducing this programme is to accommodate a good number of people with hectic timetables on weekdays,” he added.
Mr Mbwambo explained that the new programme is for insured and private-pay clients and that the new programme is carried out for patient appointment.
