Azam Complex for major rehabilitation
Azam FC management says they want to undertake major facelift works at Azam Complex Stadium in Chamazi, Dar es Salaam to go along with the required standards of the world’s football governing body FIFA.
According to the club’s engineer Victor Ndozero, the refurbishment project will start by installing new 10,000 seats around the venue excluding those found at VVIP, VIP A and VIP B.
“We are going to totally remove all the benches as they are not friendly to fans and replace them with seats which have already arrived in the country and the exercise is set to commence instantly,” Ndozero says.
He adds: “The seats will be installed in three colours of Orange, White and Blue and that the entrance into the venue will go proportional with the aforementioned colours.”
“We want to ensure that our fans seat comfortably during matches and make the stadium look good in accordance with FIFA demands,” he reiterates.
In another development, the Chamazi based side have opened up saying they want to extend their current seven-match NBC Premier League unbeaten run to ten games.
The team’s Acting Media Officer Hasheem Ibwe highlights that winning ten games in a row will help a lot to boost winning mentality among players, a quality he said they need to battle well for the championship.
