AFRICA: AIRTEL Africa has partnered with three renowned African artists Fally Ipupa from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania, and Simi from Nigeria to enhance customers’ digital experience through its ongoing #SmartaWithData campaign.
Airtel Africa, a leading provider of telecommunications and mobile money services across 14 African countries, announced that the partnership aims to educate customers on smarter data usage and management.
According to a statement issued by the company, the artists have collaborated to create a special song offering practical tips and tools to help customers maximize their data bundles.
The campaign focuses on optimizing everyday digital activities, such as browsing, streaming, and accessing essential applications. It targets young customers aged 18 to 35 and is active in seven African countries—Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Zambia, and Malawi.

Speaking about the initiative, Airtel Africa’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Rohit Marwha, emphasized the company’s dedication to improving customer experiences.
“Our goal with this campaign is to ensure that our customers get the most out of Airtel data bundles, thereby enhancing their online experience. By collaborating with these beloved artists, who our customers engage with daily, we ensure they are aware of data hacks and can seamlessly adopt smarter usage and management practices through clear, relatable messages,” he said.

We hope that through this edutainment campaign, delivered by authentic and internationally acclaimed African artists, our customers will be empowered to enjoy rewarding online experiences, whether for business or leisure.”
The #SmartaWithData campaign promotes three key actions: GET smarter data settings, SET smarter data speeds, and GO #SmartaWithData.
Customers are also encouraged to share their own tips and experiences as part of the initiative.
