ADA-TADEA pledges to strengthen national security

GEITA: THE African Democratic Alliance (ADATADEA) has promised to implement robust national peace and security strategies if elected to lead in the upcoming General Election next week.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Geita town over the weekend, ADA-TADEA’s presidential candidate, Mr Georges Bussungu, unveiled a key proposal: The establishment of the Tanzania Bureau of Investigation (TBI), modeled after the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The TBI would be a specialised criminal investigation agency dedicated to focusing on high-level crime investigation and prevention, significantly improving law enforcement efficiency across the country.

Mr Bussungu further outlined plans to modernise law enforcement’s rapid response capabilities.

“Each region will have access to military helicopters capable of responding quickly to security threats. Criminals will have nowhere to hide,” he declared.

The party also plans to equip every region with specialised, modern security vehicles to support law enforcement agencies in the rapid pursuit and apprehension of offenders, thereby making communities safer.

“We will also provide modern security vehicles to ensure that offenders can be tracked down and apprehended without delay, making our communities safer.”

Mr Bussungu stressed that peace and security are key to protecting freedoms, including freedom of expression and enabling citizens to participate in national development efforts.

He further said that the ADA-TADEA government would enforce strict accountability measures, including removing public leaders who fail to perform their duties or contribute to social problems through negligence or corruption.

“We need leaders who are accountable and effective in addressing challenges that face people around the country,” he said.

Mr Bussungu urged Tanzanians to evaluate candidates based on their abilities, not just political party affiliation.

He expressed ADA-TADEA’s commitment to driving a “Green Revolution,” which he described as a national initiative to transform mindsets and foster self-reliance and development among Tanzanians.
