DAR ES SALAAM: THE ACT-Wazalendo candidate for the Kilosa Constituency in Morogoro Region, Hassan Thabiti Mbaruku has promised to end conflicts between farmers and herders if he is elected in the General Election expected to be held on October 29, 2025.

Mbaruku made this known today while speaking to journalists at the Party’s Magomeni Headquarters in Dar es Salaam after being handed the Party’s Manifesto for the year 2025 to 2026 ahead of this year’s General Elections.

The young candidate, who has great aspirations to bring about major reforms and revolutions in the Kilosa Constituency, has explained that conflicts between farmers and herders are one of the persistent challenges facing the people of the constituency.

“One of the challenges facing the people of Kilosa is conflicts between farmers and pastoralists. This has been a major challenge that has contributed to farmers not progressing,”.

Mbaruku has noted that in ending the conflicts, if elected, he will ensure that he advises the Government to allocate special areas for farmers to carry out their agricultural activities, in parallel with allocating special areas for pastoralists and ensuring that they do not interfere with each other’s interests.

“I will ensure that a grass area is allocated for livestock grazing and that he believes that this method will bring a permanent solution to the conflicts between farmers and herders.

Mbaruku also stated that if elected, he plans to address other challenges, such as health, by improving the services of the Kilosa District Hospital and upgrading the Ward Dispensaries to the status of Health Centers.

That another challenge he will address is the problem of youth employment where he will ensure that industries are established that will generate employment, in parallel with establishing industries that will add value to the products of Kilosa people.

He added that he will oversee local road projects and the construction of water canals, as the current infrastructure is inadequate. Additionally, he will ensure improvements in the Education Sector and eliminate unproductive contributions to Primary and Secondary Schools.
