About 180 companies to take part in Tanzania-China forum

DAR ES SALAAM: ABOUT 180 companies are expected to participate in the forthcoming Tanzania-China forum to be held in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday, next week.
This was addressed by the Investment Officer at Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC), Diana Mwamanga during a press brief in the city.
She noted the forum aims to strengthen economic ties for both industry, agriculture, health, minerals, and energy sectors.
Adding she elaborated the forum also focuses to mark 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties of the two countries.
At the event, about 60 Chinese companies and other 120 from Tanzania are expected to participate in the event.
Mwamanga has called on Tanzanian companies to be part of the forum which aims to bring together various investors inside Tanzania and from China.
On his part, the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) Development manager, Kelvin Ogodo, added that the forum will provide an opportunity for Tanzanian businessmen to export products to the Chinese market.
“This forum aims to bring positive changes in investment sector and provide good relationship between the two countries,” he said
