Energy firm showcases clean energy solutions at KiliFair

ARUSHA: The nationwide Clean Cooking Energy campaign continues to sweep across Tanzania this time reaching Tanzania tourist hub, Arusha, through the just climaxed KiliFair Exhibition.

KiliFair is the East Africa’s leading international tourism and industry fair, held at Magereza Grounds in Arusha from June 6th to 8th this year.

With a growing focus on sustainable tourism, an energy firm, Compact Energies used the platform to highlight its commitment to powering the future of tourism with clean, reliable, and cost-effective solar energy solutions.

The company showcased its successful solar projects in the tourism sector, including off-grid and hybrid power systems installed in lodges, tented camps, eco-resorts, and remote tourist destinations across Tanzania. These installations have helped reduce diesel dependency, lower carbon emissions, and improve energy reliability—crucial factors in sustainable hospitality operations.

Speaking at the event, Mr Ephrain Kimati of Compact Energies, stated:

KILIFAIR attendees visited the Compact Energies booth to learn more about the company’s solar innovations—ranging from solar water heating, lithium battery storage, and hybrid inverter systems designed for safari vehicles and eco-lodges. The team also used the opportunity to connect with tourism investors and lodge developers looking to integrate clean energy into their new projects.

With clean energy now a critical part of responsible tourism, Compact Energies reaffirmed its mission to empower the hospitality sector through sustainable energy systems that protect the environment and support long-term economic growth.
