YAS, Redington partner to expand access to latest mobile technology  

DAR ES SALAAM: YAS Tanzania has unveiled a partnership with Redington, marking a major step forward in expanding access to advanced mobile technology across the country.

The collaboration aims to bridge the digital divide by making the latest technological innovations more accessible to Tanzanians and local businesses.

Speaking at the official launch event, Mid-Segments and Youth Manager at YAS, Ms. Ikunda Ngowi confirmed that the company is now an authorized Apple distributor in the country.

“This partnership is part of our wider strategy to empower Tanzanians through meaningful access to digital tools,” Ms Ngowi said.

As part of this milestone, the new iPhone 16E will be available in all YAS stores nationwide—highlighting the company’s dedication to bringing premium technology to a broader audience.

“At YAS, we’re focused on delivering technology that not only connects people but adds tangible value to their daily lives.” she noted.

More than just introducing Apple’s latest devices, the partnership will provide customers with bundled offerings, including data plans and accessories, tailored to the needs of Tanzania’s growing middle class.

The Independent Retailers Manager at Redington, Mr. Eric Mkomoye echoed this sentiment. “We’re thrilled to support YAS in expanding the availability of the latest mobile technology throughout Tanzania,” he said.

“As an authorized Apple distributor, we’re committed to ensuring customers receive genuine products through trusted partners—delivered with real value and a superior experience.”

With this collaboration, YAS becomes the first telecommunications company in Tanzania to partner with an Apple-authorized distributor to launch the newest iPhone through its retail network—solidifying its role as a digital pioneer in the local market.
