GENEVA, SWITZERLAND: TANZANIA’S Minister of Health, Jenista Mhagama, has called on the Global Financing Facility (GFF) to maintain and expand its support for the country’s health sector, emphasizing the need for continued financial and technical assistance to improve public health.
Speaking during a bilateral meeting with GFF leadership on the sidelines of the 78th World Health Assembly, Mhagama praised the partnership’s impact and highlighted key achievements made possible through the collaboration.
“The partnership with GFF has been instrumental in transforming our health sector,” said Mhagama.
She also added that: “Through close coordination and timely financial support, we have been able to swiftly address pressing health challenges across the country.”

Among the notable successes, she cited a GFF grant of US dollar 40 million, which was allocated across nine regions to support maternal and child health initiatives.
