Dr Mpango to open CRDB’s historic AGM
ARUSHA: VICE-PRESIDENT, Dr Philip Mpango, is expected to officiate at a special shareholders’ seminar in Arusha tomorrow ahead of CRDB Bank’s milestone 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
CRDB Chairman, Dr Ally Laay said, during a press briefing here, that the seminar will serve as a platform to reflect on the bank’s three-decade journey.
“This historic seminar will be held under this year’s theme, ‘30 Years of Growing with You’ and will be officially opened by the Vice-President. “It is an important opportunity to reflect on our collective achievements, the challenges we have overcome and our direction for the future,” said Dr Laay.

He added that the main AGM, slated for Saturday, will bring together shareholders in a hybrid format, combining physical and virtual participation.

CRDB Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Abdulmajid Nsekela, said they have completed all preparations for the AGM and has put in place measures to ensure inclusive access for all shareholders.
“This is a golden opportunity for every shareholder to take pride in their role in this success story and to participate in shaping the future of our bank,” Mr Nsekela said.
He urged shareholders to turn out in large numbers to participate in what he described as a “historic meeting,” underscoring the significance of their engagement in the bank’s governance and future direction.
“We have built a strong institution that delivers excellent services, created value for shareholders and actively contributed to national development,” he said.
Key agenda items for the AGM include shareholders to approve a dividend proposal of 65/- per share for 2024.
